Dan Mauer is director of Federal Government Affairs for CHS, based in Washington, D.C. Mauer advocates for CHS on issues primarily related to energy and taxation. Whether communicating with the U.S. Congress, the Trump administration or trade associations, Mauer’s work has focused on policies ranging from the Renewable Fuel Standard and the Section 199A(g)/DPAD deduction to the future of liquid fuels.
Prior to joining CHS, Mauer worked in the U.S. Senate and later helped form a bipartisan government affairs and advocacy group.
Mauer currently lives in Chevy Chase, Md., with his wife, son and dog.
